Celtic winger Jota has provided a rare update on his injury recovery.

The 26-year-old has been on the sidelines since the end of April, when his team won the league at Tannadice.

Jota endured a nasty knee injury against Dundee United and is currently not scheduled to be back until at least the beginning of next year.

When recently appearing at a commercial event at one of Celtic's stores, Jota provided an update on his condition.

He was asked how his recovery is coming along: "All good," the attacker told Celtic TV. "I'm really thrilled to just come back and do my thing again with the help of the lads.

"I think it's going in the right way. But obviously it's a big one, so we just need to be sure about everything."

Quizzed on the arrival of new Celtic manager Wilfried Nancy, Jota said: "It's a new part of the journey.

"I think all of our values and principles will be there. But it's just a matter of time now for everyone to adapt, to feel good again and to go after it."

Nancy's first game in charge of his new team will come tomorrow as Celtic welcome Heart of Midlothian to the east end of Glasgow in a table-topping William Hill Premiership clash.
