Rangers head coach Danny Rohl has given a 'positive' update on the club's pursuit of winger Andreas Skov Olsen.

On Wednesday, Rangers reached an agreement with Wolfsburg for the signing of the Danish international on a loan deal until the end of the campaign, as revealed by the Rangers Review.

Additionally, the 26-year-old Denmark international could make the switch permanent in the summer after an option package was also negotiated with the Bundesliga side.

Speaking ahead of his side's Scottish Cup match against Annan Athletic, Rohl was asked about the latest developments on the deal: "I am not a good poker player. We are in the process, it looks very positive, as long as it's not confirmed, I can not tell you too much."

Skov Olsen could sign in time for Friday's Scottish Cup tie with Tuur Rommens and Tochi Chukwuani having already arrived at the club this window.

On Wednesday, Rangers completed the signing of Rommens from Westerlo. Rohl's side have been looking to make an addition to challenge Jayden Meghoma after exiting the summer window with only one left-back.

Rommens, 22, has nine caps for the Belgium Under-21 squad. He moves to Ibrox on a three-and-a-half-year deal for £3million.

However, the Rangers Review understands that the club will not risk an early debut for Rommens with match involvement managed as a precaution due to the effects of a previous knock.

Club sources suggest that Rommens will be fully fit within three to four weeks and that he will be involved in training during that time period. Rangers will be cautious in building up the defender to challenge with Meghoma for the left-back slot.

Chukwuani, also 22, is in line to feature in the cup meeting at Ibrox tomorrow.
