Aberdeen top scorer Jesper Karlsson is set to rip up his loan deal with the Dons and join Utrecht in another loan move.
The Swedish international once cost Bologna £10 million when he moved to the Serie A side after a successful previous spell in the Netherlands with AZ Alkmaar.
Aberdeen were able to capture the 27-year-old on loan on the final day of the last transfer window in what was regarded as a major coup.
However, despite being the top scorer for the Pittodrie side with five league goals and one in Europe against Shakhtar Donetsk, he failed to make as big an impact as was expected.

And when his mentor - former Aberdeen boss Jimmy Thelin, who worked with Karlsson at Elfsborg - was sacked earlier this month, he dropped out of the team under interim boss Peter Leven and has been used as a sub.
Now reports in Sweden have stated that Bologna and Aberdeen have reached an agreement to terminate his loan deal at Pittodrie.
And Utrecht have immediately snapped him up to go on another loan in what would be a return to the Eredivisie for Karlsson.
He didn't play any minutes for Bologna this season before he signed for Aberdeen, so he would be allowed to go to Utrecht, having only played for one teams this term.
And he's set to be the latest Aberdeen star on his way out of Pittodrie, following the departures of Ester Sokler, Vicente Besuijen and Alfie Dorrington, with flop strikers Kusini Yengi and Peter Ambrose also set to move.
