Rangers head coach Danny Rohl says Tuur Rommens will be out for a minimum of two games, with captain James Tavernier dropped to the bench against Dundee United after an unseen setback during the international break.

Left-back Rommens suffered a training ground knock and will be absent until the split.

"Unfortunately, he got a muscle injury on Thursday," Rohl told RangersTV. "It happens in football. How long he's out, hopefully not too long.

"I think he will not be available for minumum, two more games, and then we will see.

"We still have one more week, this is a good part, before the split, that we have this break that helps a lot."

Tavernier started in wins over St Mirren and Aberdeen before the international break, but was replaced in the XI by Dujon Sterling against United.

"With Dujon, he is always ready to play," Rohl explained. "The last two times Tav did well, but Tav was also out for 10 days with small recovery treatment and then with illness.

"Dujon trained the full time."

Kick-off at Ibrox this afternoon is at 3pm. Rangers could go top of the Scottish Premiership with a victory.
