Derek McInnes' imminent arrival at Rangers could signal the end of Hearts' competitive efforts in the Scottish Premiership - and bring Gers back to "powerhouse" status in the division.
That's the view of former Chelsea striker Tony Cascarino who is convinced Light Blues punters will be delighted at McInnes taking the reins at Ibrox.
McInnes took the Jambos to within three minutes of the league title last season which Cascarino credits as an "incredible" job well done by the 54-year-old.
But with the Gorgie side losing McInnes and having already lost Lawrence Shankland who also joined Rangers this summer, the Irishman reckons Gers will have a good chance next season.

Though he did acknowledge the loss of Del may hurt last season's disruptor in the long run. "Derek McInnes did an incredible job at Hearts last season and Shankland going there to Rangers as well, I'm sure Rangers fans will be delighted," Cascarino said on talkSPORT.
"The sad thing is that the one team that's come out of the pack in Scottish football, it's always been Rangers and Celtic and there's been a team that's dented that this year, even though Celtic won it.
"It's back to the powerhouse of what Rangers and Celtic can do. Martin O'Neill and Derek McInnes."
