Reo Hatate has been linked with a summer move to Kashima Antlers as speculation grows over his Celtic future.

The Japanese midfielder was omitted from Celtic’s matchday squads for the final two games of the season, fuelling reports that he could be set to leave Parkhead in the coming months.

According to Balon Japan, the midfielder is now on the radar of Kashima Antlers, where he could reunite with former manager Toru Oniki.

The pair previously enjoyed significant success together at Kawasaki Frontale, winning four trophies during their time in Japan.

Since arriving in Glasgow, Hatate has made close to 200 appearances and helped the club secure nine trophies, establishing himself as a key figure at his peak.
