WE are now seven games into the new Premiership season and the league table is beginning to take shape.
In the latest round of fixtures, Rangers swatted Aberdeen aside in emphatic fashion in a 5-0 win at Ibrox, Celtic dropped points for the first time this season after being held to a 1-1 draw at Easter Road and Hamilton recorded a dramatic win over Livingston thanks to Ross Cunningham's late winner for Brian Rice's team.

Neil Lennon still leads the way in our standings but was docked a point for his side's 1-1 draw against Hibernian. The Northern Irishman still has three points seperating him and Steven Gerrard in second place, but a defeat to Livingston this coming weekend could result in the Celtic boss slipping to second place. Paul Heckingbottom was awarded a point for the draw and is still bottom of our table, but the former Barnsely boss is now tied with Craig Levein and Tommy Wright on -5 overall.
Gerrard, meanwhile, gained ground on Lennon in the wake of Rangers' 5-0 win over Aberdeen. The Rangers manager was awarded two points for the resounding victory; one for winning as the pre-match favourites, and another for winning by three or more goals. Gerrard is still in second but just three points seperate him from Lennon in first.
Ross County's management team of Stuart Kettlewell and Steven Ferguson are now level with Stephen Robinson in our power rankings after guiding the Highlanders to a 0-0 draw against Kilmarnock. Angelo Alessio's side were expected to pick up all three points, so Kettlewell and Ferguson gained one, while Alessio lost one.
Hamilton boss Brian Rice has now edged ahead of Gary Holt after his side defeated Livingston 2-1 at the FOYS Stadium, thanks to Cunningham's late penalty. The home side were expected to win the game so Rice collects a point, while Holt is docked the same amount.

Craig Levein failed to capitalise on the Edinburgh Derby win in Hearts' previous league fixture as his side played out a goalless draw with St Mirren in Paisley. Jim Goodwin picked up a point for the draw, moving clear of Alessio, while Levein moved level with Heckingbottom at the foot of our rankings.
Meanwhile, Tommy Wright continues to slide down our table and joins Levein and Heckingbottom propping up the rest with a score of -5. The Saints manager watched his side lose 1-0 at home to favourites Motherwell on Saturday afternoon, and was docked a point accordingly. At this early stage of the season, Wright is the only top-flight manager without a win to his name yet.
