JAMES TAVERNIER has challenged Rangers to back up their momentum under boss Michael Beale by delivering silverware success this season.
Beale takes his side to Hampden on Sunday aiming to extend his unbeaten run as manager and land his first trophy since taking over from Giovanni van Bronckhorst.
The Englishman was part of the coaching staff that delivered the Premiership title two years ago and the majority of his squad clinched the Scottish Cup last term after their run to the Europa League final.
Supporters have been left encouraged by the impact Beale has made at Ibrox but Tavernier knows medals are the only way to prove Rangers are on the right track once again.
Tavernier said: "Playing for this club, you have to show things and you have to give back to the fans. Week in week out they are paying their hard earned money to come and see us and support us.
"We have to give back to the fans because they give us unbelievable support. We know what is required.

"We have trained really well, we are all looking forward to it. The momentum has been there since the gaffer has come in and we have to take that into the game.
"You have got to be lifting silverware at this club and this is the first chance we have to do that. It is obviously a must-win. Every game is a must-win, that is drilled into us when we are here.
"If you are a winner, you are a winner so I know we will be doing everything possible come the first whistle. If it is 90 minutes, 120 minutes, we will do whatever it takes.

"I think there are similarities [to the 55 season] already. We are showing different signs of winning games and I think we showed that when we won the league in the 55 season.
"There were games where we ground them out and won and showed real resilience that we could win games. I think we have shown that so far but we want to see more of a consistent performance throughout the 90 minutes. As soon as we get that I think we will be a real force to push on."
