Hibernian have announced tribute plans for Ron Gordon ahead of their upcoming Scottish Premiership clash against Rangers.
The club's chairman passed away last month aged 68 after battling cancer.
And the fixture against Michael Beale's side is the first opportunity for the Edinburgh club to pay tribute at Easter Road since his death.
A statement on the club's official website read: "Ahead of kick-off, the Club will pay a special tribute to Ron, where supporters will be able to show their appreciation and remember him together. We'd encourage supporters to bring their scarves for this moment.
"We urge all Hibernian FC supporters attending the match to arrive in their seats 15 minutes ahead of kick-off.
"In the warm-ups ahead of the game, the Hibs team will wear special warm-up t-shirts with “May the sunshine of Leith, shine on you always Ron” on the front and “RIP Ronald J Gordon August 1954 – February 2023” on the back.
"During the game, the club will mark Ron’s age with the number 68 on their shorts, a commemorative message will also be printed onto our home shirt, and the players will don black armbands during the match."
A minute's silence was observed before the recent fixture against Livingston at Almondvale in which Lee Johnson's men won 4-1 away from home.

Speaking after the match, the Englishman said: "We’ve had bad times this year, took our fair share of criticism, but all the players can do is bounce back, respond, and keep building their performances.
"The January recruits have really helped us in terms of their personality and football ability, and we feel like a side that’s got a strong spirit.
"We’re going into two difficult games, but it’s another big emotional occasion on Wednesday and if the fans support us like they did today, then we will have a chance.”
"That’s for Ron and the family. We wanted to make it an occasion where we performed like we needed to; that was why it was enjoyable.
“When you go a goal down here on a difficult surface, in difficult circumstances, the boys had to dig in and they did that, whilst showing quality and flair.
"On another day we could’ve had more goals too."
Why are you making commenting on The Herald only available to subscribers?
It should have been a safe space for informed debate, somewhere for readers to discuss issues around the biggest stories of the day, but all too often the below the line comments on most websites have become bogged down by off-topic discussions and abuse.
heraldscotland.com is tackling this problem by allowing only subscribers to comment.
We are doing this to improve the experience for our loyal readers and we believe it will reduce the ability of trolls and troublemakers, who occasionally find their way onto our site, to abuse our journalists and readers. We also hope it will help the comments section fulfil its promise as a part of Scotland's conversation with itself.
We are lucky at The Herald. We are read by an informed, educated readership who can add their knowledge and insights to our stories.
That is invaluable.
We are making the subscriber-only change to support our valued readers, who tell us they don't want the site cluttered up with irrelevant comments, untruths and abuse.
In the past, the journalist’s job was to collect and distribute information to the audience. Technology means that readers can shape a discussion. We look forward to hearing from you on heraldscotland.com
