Rangers chairman Andrew Cavenagh will be in attendance at the Europa League clash with Genk tomorrow evening.

The health tycoon flew in from the United States last week for the Premier Sports Cup tie with Hibs at the weekend, watching on as the team put their wreteched form behind them to win 2-0 and reach the semi-finals.

It was thought his presence could indicate pressure being applied on manager Russell Martin but the ex-Scotland defender insisted it was a pre-planned visit that he knew about all along.

Cavenagh and the Rangers board had given their full backing to the manager following the league defeat to Hearts, which meant they had gone the opening five Premiership matches without a win.

There will be a board meeting on Thursday, but Rangers Review reports it was always in the diary and support for Martin will be reaffirmed.

And Cavenagh will then be in the stands as the team takes on the Belgian side in the Europa League at night.

That will round off his week-long visit to Scotland.
