Alan Rough insists Kasper Schmeichel deserves to have his Celtic legacy recognised.
The Denmark goalkeeper's final season at the club hasn't been an enjoyable one, patchy individual form and errors contributing to some of the dropped points that have them trying to play catch-up with Hearts.
Fans have not been happy as a result but Rough points out the 39-year-old started off well at Parkhead and most of his time there has been a success.
He also feels he deserves to be cut some slack because of the injuries he has been carrying.

He said: "I know a lot of people were having a wee go at him, but when you're in that position and you're putting yourself through that kind of pain for your team, I think he deserves all the credit.
"I think the early days, when he came in, he took over from [Joe] Hart with no problem at all. He was great in Europe, he was great in the club.He had that ability to make that big save.
"Honestly, now that I see the injuries that he has been carrying, it's pretty bad. For a goalkeeper, you need every part of your body to be flexible and he hasn't."
