The Climavore: On Tidal Zones September 14-24

If you are in the vicinity of Skye this weekend, get yourself to Portree for a “performative meal” courtesy of ATLAS Arts and Cooking Section’s new work The Climavore, a metal mesh underwater oyster table that emerges at high tide for seafood tastings. Exploring the history of coastal subsistence, the project is looking long-term at forms of eating that address environmental regeneration. Menu highlights include Littoral Scones, Briny Pickings and Filter Feeder Vinaigrette – and if that doesn’t appeal, book onto a foraging walk or a coastal tour. Register first via the website.
