POLICE are continuing to investigate the deaths of a man and a woman at a house in the East Neuk of Fife.
Officers were called to Links Place, Elie, at 5.10 pm on Monday, and found the couples' bodies.
They have been named locally as Ross Thom, a local DJ, and Valerie Richardson. Both have still to be formally identified.
They deaths are being treated as "unexplained", with a Police Scotland spokeswoman saying: “Enquiries are continuing.”
She added: “At 5.10pm on Monday June 17 officers attended an address in Links Place, Elie, after receiving reports of concern for the occupant.
“Upon entry to the property a man and woman were found dead within.”

It has been reported that officers believe the incident may have involved one of the people killing the other before taking their own life. However, this has not been confirmed.
The deaths have stunned the quiet, picturesque town on the east coast, which is popuar with holiday makers and golfers.
Local resident Dave Woodcock said the fire service had broken down the door to the flat where the bodies were found.
He said: “I knew the woman. Her name was Val but I don’t know her surname. Nobody knows who the man is.
“She’d probably been in that flat about five years.

“We got home after six yesterday and there was about five police cars here then.
“We’ve seen about four forensic people going in their overalls,” added Mr Woodcock.

Tributes have been paid to Mr Thom on social media, with friend Jay Black writing: "In complete shock. Rip Ross Thom. Another good guy taken far too soon."
Stevie Watt said: "So sorry to hear the news about Ross Thom a sad day he was one of our own part of the family he will be missed. We will all rave hard for him at reunion... rip Ross."

A spokesman for the local housing association, who own the property, said: “We can confirm the property is owned by Kingdom Housing Association, however given it is part of an ongoing police investigation we are unable to comment, however we have been advised that there are no concerns for other residents in the area.
"It is understood a statement will be issued by the police in due course.”
