A man has appeared in court charged with murder after a grandmother was found dead at her flat in Aberdeen.
Margaret Robertson, 54, was found at around 1.20pm last Friday at the property in Promenade Court.
Norman Duncan, also from the city, appeared at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Friday.
The 40-year-old made no plea and was remanded in custody.
Ms Robertson's children Mark and Michelle have paid tribute to their mother and thanked the local community for their help.
In a statement issued through Police Scotland, they said she "was a much-loved mum, daughter, grandma and friend to many".
