What is it?

A feature-rich, wireless on-ear headset for work calls and online meetings.

Good points?

With many of us balancing a mix of traditional office-based and remote working it can mean a lot more time in virtual meetings or video calls. Comfort is key: there’s nothing worse than spending hours constantly adjusting uncomfortable bulky headphones.

That’s where the Go Work headset from JLab comes in – designed to function equally well on voice calls or online whether you are at home or in a busy office. Weighing 170 grams (6 ounces) and fitted with Cloud Foam earcup cushions, they are so comfortable I forgot I was wearing them.

Set up is easy as there are no software or drivers needed to operate; you simply plug them in and go which is perfect when swapping between work and personal computers.

Boasting dual C3 calling microphones which eliminate ambient sounds means you can be heard perfectly even in noisy environments.

A conveniently placed mute button can help prevent potentially embarrassing private conversations or background chatter being overheard. When muted a red LED is lit at the end of the microphone providing a visible reminder so you don’t start talking prematurely.

The device can be used both wired or tether-free thanks to the supplied cables, Bluetooth and rechargeable battery which can last more than 45 hours of continuous use.

Bad points?

For a budget headset there is not much to complain about other than the slightly plastic feel to the outer earcups.

Best for ...

Those who have regular and lengthy calls and are seeking comfort over bling.

Avoid if ...

You need something more flexible that can also handle music and gaming.

Score: 9/10.
