American negotiators have arrived in Russia to present a proposal to end the war in Ukraine.
Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner touched down in Moscow on Saturday afternoon, where they were met by the head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund and Vladimir Putin's special representative, Kirill Dmitriev.
The plane landed at 12:52 PM Moscow time
Donald Trump announced on Friday that he was sending them with a plan to end the war, though he did not specify what it was.
The two will visit Kyiv on Sunday to meet with Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

The head of Ukraine's presidential office, Kirill Budanov, said the country had sent a ceasefire proposal to Moscow for the weekend while the visits take place but it was rejected by Mr Putin.
Mr Zelenskyy said that Ukraine will not conduct air strikes during the time required for the US negotiators to travel to Russia, conduct negotiations, and conduct related logistical activities and asked Russia to do the same.
He said: "We care about them, not about Russia. There will be no air strikes from our side, and Russia must mirror that.
"We need to look for real options on how to bring this war to an end. We'll see what proposals Steve and Jared have and what Moscow will say to them."
The governor of the Zaporizhzhia region said one person had been killed and several were injured in a Ukrainian drone strike on Friday.
The offer concerned not only long-range strikes but also hostilities on the frontlines, but while Ukraine does not appear to have carried out long-range strikes the fighting continues in the Donbas.
A spokesperson for the Armed Forces of Ukraine said on Saturday: "The ceasefire regime cannot be unilateral or asymmetrical, otherwise it will pose a danger to the life and health of our servicemen. Therefore, the tasks of the defensive operation are currently being fulfilled in full."
On Friday Russia struck the headquarters of the Ukrainian security service, the SBU.
The body confirmed: "Today, the enemy struck the building of the Central Directorate of the Security Service of Ukraine. The drone was purposefully directed at the office of the head of the Security Service, Oleksandr Poklad.
"But the Russians did not achieve their goal - the head of the SBU was not injured.
"As for the damaged building, it will definitely be restored. And the Russians will receive a painful response to their strikes - even more special operations, exposed spy networks, and destroyed enemies."
There were strikes overnight on Dnipro, Odessa, Kyiv and Nikolaevskaya.
Mr Putin's press secretary, Dmitry Peskov, later said that Russia would not conduct strikes on the Ukrainian capital for a period of three days.
He said: "Such information was received from the Ukrainian side. Russian president and supreme commander-in-chief Putin gave orders to hold off on strikes on Kyiv for three days, starting at midnight tonight. This is due to the preparation and conduct of American contacts in Kyiv."
Mr Peskov also confirmed that the Russian president would meet with Mr Kushner and Mr Witkoff, but urged against making predictions about the outcome.
He said: "The meeting with the president will indeed take place. There will be a discussion. As a rule, they have been quite lengthy before. Let's wait and see, and we will definitely inform you of the outcome.
"Yesterday, Trump himself said there was no talk of new ideas. That was the U.S president's statement."
