TWO people have been arrested amid the chaos in Glasgow today as Extinction Rebellion and other protests continued.
Thousands of activists gathered on Buchanan street this afternoon and attempted to march through the city.
However, police appeared to block every direction the activists attempted to head towards.
Now, police Scotland have announced that two people have been arrested claiming they spray painted and assaulted officers during one of the many chaotic scenes in Glasgow.

Assistant Chief Constable Gary Ritchie said: "During one of these protests, a number of officers were assaulted after being sprayed with paint. Two arrests have been made in relation to this so far and cans of spray paint have been seized.
"We will protect the rights of people who wish to peacefully protest or counter-protest at COP26, balanced against the rights of the wider community.
"We will provide a proportionate policing response to any protest and violence will not be tolerated.
"Assaults on officers, who put their safety at risk every day to keep the public safe and have adopted a facilitative and rights-based approach to protest, is totally unacceptable."
Singers and drummers created quite the atmosphere as people from all over the world had travelled to attend the march which gathered at 12pm.
However, it soon turned into chaos as the march got underway.
As protesters made their way down Sauchiehall street , they were instantly cut off by British Transport Police from England.

Police and protesters stood at a standstill for half an hour, until Extinction Rebellion started attempting to go in different directions.
Disruption across multiple streets was then seen as activists attempted to make their way down any route possible. Police seemed confused and some were seen sprinting to block off further routes.
The thousands of protesters which began the peaceful display on Buchanan Street ended up in a game of cat and mouse with police as confusion erupted around the city and multiple vehicles were left at stand still on busy Glasgow roads.
Activists then made their way down to Waterloo Street to protest outside JP Morgan bank again, before being moved to St Vincent street.
