THE fall-out from Sunday's Old Firm has continued as both Celtic and Rangers - and Celtic captain Scott Brown - were handed charges from the Scottish FA.

The SFA allege that both clubs have broken Disciplinary Rule 204 - 'Where three or more players and/or members of Team Staff from one team are involved in a confrontation with opposing players and/or members of Team Staff of the opposing team during and/or directly after a match.'

Celtic have since responded and say they will "vigorously" defend the charges handed to the club and their Captain.

The Parkhead side said: "Following the news today that Celtic captain, Scott Brown and the Club have been cited by the SFA in relation to last Sunday’s game, a club spokesperson said: “Celtic will defend these charges vigorously.”"

All three charges must be responded to by Wednesday, April 10 and a preliminary hearing date of Thursday, May 2 has been set for all three charges.
