FALKIRK are sweating over the fitness of key forward Deimantas Petravicius for their must-win relegation showdown against Dundee United.

The Lithuania internationalist was a notable absentee on Saturday as the Bairns slipped to a 2-0 Ladbrokes Championship defeat against Morton, having previously shone alongside Zak Rudden during their impressive start to 2019.

Falkirk medical staff are monitoring the 23-year-old as he recovers from a slight knock and will give him until the last minute to prove he is ready for the trip to Tannadice.

On-loan Ross County playmaker Davis Keillor-Dunn will definitely be back in contention after missing out at the weekend, however central defender William Edjenguele is unable to line up against his parent club.

Bairns boss Ray McKinnon confirmed: “Davis Keillor-Dunn will be back and we are hoping Demi [Petravicius] will be okay but we’ll monitor him this week.

"We missed them on Saturday.

“And we have players who can step into where William [Edjenguele] wants to play. We’ll be okay in terms of the squad.”

Falkirk, three points adrift of Alloa at the foot of the Championship with two games to play, could be relegated at Tannadice on Saturday if they fail to win and results elsewhere go against them.
